BACKGROUND

Child Care and orphan support organization is a community based organization founded on the pillars of love, hope and desire for change. Child Care and orphan support organization’s work to address the needs and aspirations of the under prevailed using holistic approach reduction.

The organization was started in 2010 and was registered in 2014 and currently working on proving support to orphans, needy, street and vulnerable children in kyamagwa(mafubira sub-county)where our office is located. We focus on promoting and improving on the general welfare of the rural poor through reduction of poverty by providing education, sponsorship and life skills to the children’s.

In addition, Child Care and orphan support organization seeks to improve on the health of the community by alleviating diseases especially those borne out of poor sanitation and hygiene. We also strive to improve on the mental health of boys and girls affected and afflicted by HIV/AIDS, domestic violence, teenage pregnancy among others.

Furthermore, we go out to communities and empower adolescent with information about sexual reproductive health, career guidance and HIV/AIDS in order to encourage them to not only abstain from sex before marriage but also to use safer sex methods reducing unwanted pregnancy, school dropouts and early marriage which have provided a fertile group of poverty to thrive. We also seek to up lift orphans and vulnerable children’s train education, through offering of educational scholarship where we provide scholastic material and schools fees.

PREAMBLE

Working with orphans, vulnerable children and widows is a concerted effort which needs a lot of ideas and many hands to put together.

The orphans’ problem does not belong to only people with orphans, its every body’s problem.

Throughout Africa, thousands of community based organizations are trying to address the growing needs of and families made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS, these organizations are strengthening the traditional safety-net of extended families through a range of vital programs and services often operating with minimal funding and with a great deal of volunteers support. Community based are the frontline responses to the needs of children affected by AIDS.

Many people have realized that it’s only the duty of the religious leaders to reveal the fathers heart to the orphans and widows but it only needs many hands and a lot of ideas to put together.

Many children in Africa where some of them are Aids orphans are growing up in a misery, abnormal life, psychological torture, lack and others have realized they would live throughout their destiny while suffering, where in the same situation and to larger extent with orphaned children, vulnerable children and widows, it’s against such convictions that we initiated and founded Childcare and Orphan Support Organization that will be addressing the orphans, vulnerable children, widows state of suffering and suggesting measures of improving their ways of life to good life, raising of funds and provide good standards of life.
